Timber Frame Course
We will be hosting 2 sessions of our Timber Frame course in 2008. Each course will be 5 days of hands on instruction that will result in a 12x16 timber frame structure. If you ever wanted to build your own timber frame, this workshop will give you an opportunity to get started. You will learn the basics needed to build your own timber frame be it a small garden structure or a home or cottage.
The course is structured to provide hands-on experience in preparing, layout, cutting and hand-raising the complete frame. The frame will be constructed from white pine timbers. We will start with plain timbers and end up with a structure of timeless beauty and strength. We encourage ideas exchange and cooperation. This creates an environment of fun and true accomplishment of a goal using this ancient skill.
We are located just outside of Orangeville. If you live within the GTA, it is an easy distance to cover without having the additional expense of local lodging.
Those outside of this area can find plenty of accommodation in the area.
2008 Course Dates Cost $495 plus GST
June 16-20 and August 11-15
